[24] Avenger's Bling Bling

His-

Her Reasoning: When we were watching a movie at the theaters - he totally geeked out when a trailer for this game came out. I kept asking him throughout the month if he was serious about this game - and he was. This was the follow up of the hammer for the previous gift on the 23rd. =)

His Response: NERD ALERT!!!! I've been wanting to get a few games and this one was near the top of my list. I think the Lego video games are really fun to play and they have all the Marvel characters. This is also multiplayer so we can both play and save the day.

Hers-

His Reason: We went to her home for Thanksgiving and that weekend was also Black Friday. We went to the outlets nearby that weekend and took a look in Swarovski. She saw this Hello Kitty ring and said it was really cute so I bought it and wrapped it up for a later date.

Her Response: I was surprised he got it for me actually. I don' t know if he noticed - my eyes got huge and I blushed a little in front of him. It was like a sappy love story movie scene. Love it!

[23] Zombie Hammer

Day 23

His-

Her Reason - It's a Christmas themed Thor hammer! It has an "inscription on the side that says something along the lines of - The one who hold this hammer, hold my heart." Yea cheesy I know BUT it's actually a follow up for the next gift.

His Response: I had no idea what this was going to be. All you could see was a cardboard roll sticking out of a bag. I took it out and read the note and it was basically Thor's hammer made out of a box lol. The note said it was just a hammer and thinking it was just a joke I proceeded to take the wrapping off the "hammer" until she stopped me saying it really was just a hammer. I died laughing and she said this was just a set up to tomorrows gift. I can't wait to see what it is!

Hers-

His Reason: We were walking through the mall and she spotted Zombie Hello Kitty like a mile away. She thought it was super cute but the shirt wasn't on our agenda that day. I went back another time and I also had it personalized with her name and one of her favorite numbers.

Her Response - I LOVE IT! I have a huge obsession for Hello Kitty and for some reason the "zombie kitty" speaks to me. It's cute yet very cynical at the same time. I have a decal on my macbook of Hello kitty innocently munching on an arm. The back of the shirt actually has my favorite # and last name :)

[22] SUIT UP Pony!

Her Reasoning: He doesn't own a pair of cufflinks and he's talked about wanting a pair. Found these on Etsy and thought it was appropriate + "How I met your Mother" theme sold me. It's has a little comedic side to it but at the same time it can be professional... maybe~

Ignore the wrong date on the wrapping. Took the picture before I switched around the gifts.

His Response: SUIT UP!!! Another item that I don't have, cuff links! These must be inspired by Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother lol. 

Hers-

His Reason: It turns out every item I bought from Spencer's had to do with My Little Pony lol. But she liked all of them and thought they were cute. That's all that matters.

Her Response: Nice collection to my mini plushies :3

[21] Cozy Cards

Day 21

His-

Her Reasoning: I'm not one to really express my feelings or tell the other person I care even thought I really do so I thought it would be a cute gesture. Letting him know how I feel about him. Hello Kitty Cards was just a bonus!

His Response: She had bought the Hello Kitty playing cards at a crafts store a couple weeks ago but I had no idea what she was using it for. When I was opening the gift and saw the Hello Kitty design I was thinking in my head "She got ME Hello Kitty? I thought it was suppose to be the other way around!" Bu then I took the cards out and saw that it was 52 reasons why she loves. One reason for each card in a deck. Reading these made me cheese so hard but I needed it after a hard week at work. 

Hers-

His Reason: We had originally found a beanie at the Nordstrom Rack by True Religion but didn't buy it at the time cause it was too expensive and we never saw it again. We found this beanie by Free People at Nordstrom Rack also and both agreed it looked good on her so I bought it.

Her Response: He knows me so well :)

[20] HOT PANDA

Day 20

His-

Her Reasoning: I've been trying to get him things he doesn't have already and probably needs. Since he likes dressy clothes I thought accessories would be appropriate to spice up his outfit. And also, since he likes his "Madmen" I thought this would be perfect.

His Response: My first tie clip!! And it's a Mad Men style one too! She remembered that I watch this show even though I've never watched it with her and I've hardly talked about it with her too.

Hers-

His Reason: I saw this in one of those "Boston" type gift stores in the Prudential building and thought she could add this to her collection of random, cute items. *note: the jelly beans apparently aren't that good

Her Response: I LOVE TOBASCO sauce so this was cute - but it tastes NASTAYYY! LOL but it was cute doe.

[17] Tiny Greens

Day 17

His-

Her Reasoning: His favorite basketball team as a childhood comes back once again - but this time in a hat form. I got carried away with the wrapping :3 

His Response: Another item of my favorite basketball team from when I was a kid! I had a hat of the team back in elementary but lost it and I never got another one. I don't wear hats too often but I love this one and I now have a small collection of them.

Hers-

His Reason: I was struggling to come up with ideas so I google searched "gifts for girlfriend" and stumbled upon this little item. It's a handmade Xmas Tree and Santa in a tiny bottle from Japan. I thought it was cute and figured she would too lol

Her Response: It was TINY. Like you probably needed a magnifying glass to see the details. It was amazing. I'm kind of scared of losing it.

[19] Hello Sweater

Day 19

His - 

Her Reasoning: I failed on making one of his gifts so I had to do some last minute shopping. I ordered this sweater online PRAYING that it would be perfection and as I know it - it WAS! It was delivered precisely at the right time. So I opened it up for him and showed him through webcam. 

His Response: This one I've yet to actually see in person since this was delivered to her home. She opened it for me over webcam lol. It's a sweater from forever 21. It's got blue stripes on a gray background. She said she got it for me cause I'd like the blue. Can't wait to wear it and I'm sure it'll look good too. She's got a good eye for clothing. 

Hers-

His Reason: We walked into an Urban Outfitters and that was the first thing I saw. It was like a light bulb went off in my head and I bought it right away.

Her Response: I'm a sucker for Hello Kitty & I can add this to my tiny Hello Kitty plushie collection :3

[18] Topman's Facial

Day 18

His-

Her reasoning: This guy just loves ties and dress clothes - that's almost all he buys. Thought I'd help him out with this "collection" xD I love Top Shop so I wanted to browse in the men's section to see if there was anything that would be suitable for him and this color popped out. It was between this or a red tie but he definitely doesn't have this color.

His Response: Ever since I had to start dressing up for labs and pharmacy rotations, I've been slowly adding to my professional dress attire. Most of my ties are of neutral colors besides an orange striped one. She got me this really nice skinny tie from Topman and it has sort of a greenish tint to it. Now I just have to find a shirt to pair it with!

Hers-

His Reason: This was another item she needed from the body shop along with the facial wash. She was starting to run out of the facial mask so I got a couple more for her.

Her Response: Exactly what I needed!

[16] Past and Future Memories

Day 16

His-

scan came out a little blurry but you get the idea - I wasn't actually able to finish my shirt on time

Her Reasoning: He's never been to Disney World before and that was quite a SHOCK. I've been to Disney World like 10+ times and LOVE it every time! We were talking about going one day maybe after graduation since we missed MidYear this year. So I hand painted two T-shirts (cheesy couple t-shirt) and gave one half to him! 

His Response: She hand made "he's mine/she's mine" Disney shirts for our (hopefully) future trip to Disney World! Can't wait to run around like a little kid wearing it haha

Hers-

His Reason: She said she wanted a nice picture of either me or of the both us in picture frame to put on her desk. Since I wasn't able to get a photo showcasing my amazing modeling skills (:p) I used a photo of the two of us from the masquerade ball our school had.

Her Response: People just don't print out pictures these days because everything is all digitalized. As a photographer I really like printed copies of photos and putting them in frames. So I asked him for one. I like the photo he chose :)

[15] Red Sox

Day 15

His-

Her Reasoning: I really liked these pants on him but he didn't get them the first time. It's just something about maroon color that I really like on a guy. So I'd thought I'd get it for him since he wouldn't get it himself. 

His Response: I randomly tried on the burgundy colored dress pants from Express awhile back and she said she liked them on me. I was gonna buy it during a sale but they didn't have my size at the time so I gave up. But she got them for me and now my dress pant collection has some boldness to it.


Hers-

His Reason: She told me she wanted a Red Sox jersey and we had been looking for one for awhile. While looking through some of the t-shirt style jerseys she came across Dustin Pedroia's shirt and she said for some reason his name spoke to her. So I found a World Series Pedroia jersey and wrapped it up in the shape of home plate.

Her Response: Baseball jerseys are cute! Not that I'm a huge fan of the Red Sox or anything but they iight~ However - living in Boston for 7 years already I've noticed how crazy and passionate bostonians are about sports. SOOO since I was working at the CVS near Fenway park at the time I really experienced the craze and excitement of the World Series.

[14] Flaming Stars

Day 14

Her Reasoning: I was folding these on the train and some guy asked me what I was doing. I explained to him that it was for the boy. Folding these stars was quite a challenge - not because it was difficult but it really hurt my hand after awhile. But giving a bottle of stars to someone is giving a wish to them. I added in a note inside for him to write down his wishes. Not that I supersitious or anything but it's also very cute to put on the desk and just know someone took their time and heart to make this for them

His Response: The first thing I asked her was where did you find all those little paper stars to put into the bottle. She said she made them all by hand (she must've had major hand crampage). She said they're wishing stars and there was a little slip of paper where I could write down my wishes. I think the first item will be a BLT sandwich with spicy enchilada sauce...noms! 

Hers-

His Reason: We were walking through the mall one day and she said she wanted me to smell this candle from bath and body works. So we go and she showed me this mint chocolate scented candle and it smelled AMAZING!!! She wanted to get it but it was a little pricey at the time so I waited for a deal and bought it. Got one for my mom too!

Her Response: I was introduced to this by ThatsHeart. I went to the store with the boy to test it out and WOW we both wanted to just eat it. I couldn't afford it at the time and was just going to wait until later and tehehe it came in sucha cute packaging with flameeessssss~~

[13] Lieutenant Bold

Day 13 - Friday the 13th

His-

Her Reasoning: Found this idea on pinterest but it was a little different. The tiger blue print was just so eye catching that I couldn't resist. He always been pretty safe with his clothing choices while me on the other hand is not. I like bold outrageous fashion. Not that I would want him to change for me or anything but it was a card saying to "be bold." Not only with fashion choices but also life choices. Playing it safe is okay but why not be a little adventurous. And not to brag - our journey has been pretty adventurous!

His Response: The way she's been wrapping gifts was that the wrapping hinted at what the gift might be. This time it wasn't. I guess she threw this one in here to throw me off lol. But the gift sort of has to do with clothing so it's kinda close haha. Anyway, there was a note inside with the main point being to be 'bold and daring'. And ever since we started dating my wardrobe has slowly moved beyond blues and other neutrals. I now own shorts that are red, green, yellow, purple, etc. And the sweater vest she cut out with the bow tie makes me want to try that outfit out too!

His Reason: We were shopping at Express one day and she couldn't decide between two items that she really wanted. So I just took one of them and said she'd get it on a random day :p

Her Response: What can I say, the shirt suits me :3

[12] Kick in the Face

Day 12

Her Reasoning: He's a soccer guy. There was a time we wenet to H&M and he found the "David Beckham" line and went all nerdy about it. He bought a thermal the first time and I'd thought i would expand his "Beckham" line. Plus I'm trying to turn him into a hipster~~ HAHA just kidding. 

His Response: The way she wraps the gifts and the theme with which she wraps the gifts seems to be a clue as to what I might be getting *saying this in a Sherlock Holmes voice (Robert Downey Jr. or Benedict Cumberpatch take your pick). Anyway, the soccer paper on the outside tied into David Beckham, who has a fashion line with H&M. Now I got 2 beanie caps to keep my head warm this winter!

His Reason: This was another one of those items I cheated on by asking her if there was anything she needed from amazon so I could get free shipping lol, but she wanted the face wash so it worked out in the end.

Her Response: Heard really good reviews on this facial scrub - especially for people with oily skin. Kinda told him I wanted this or rather "hinted" hehe

[11] Rainbow Pharmacist

Day 11

Her Reasoning: Retail pharmacy is a tough job. Actually any retail job is pretty hard - dealing with customers. I came about this book and laughed immediately. It's a sarcastic book about retail pharmacy written by a cynical pharmacist. I thought it was a great gift because I hear stories from the boy's workplace and some of the people he has to deal with. Also thought it would be a fun/stress relieving read for those really bad days.

His Response: Wasn't sure what to expect, especially since it was repackaged in an Amazon shipping box lol. Seeing the title immediately made me laugh. All the frustrations I feel at work were published in this very comedic book. (is comedic a word?)

His Reason: I was walking through the mall trying to find more gifts to get her but was coming up with nothing. I finally thought of going to Spencer's since they have a lot of random stuff and figured I'd find something. I made my way towards the back of the store after finding nothing in the front and saw the slippers hanging high on the wall and thought "this is it. GG."

Her Response: I was gonna faint because they were SO CUTE!! First it was the "My Little Pony" T-shirt and now SLIPPERS! I'm such a child at heart. But how can you resist??? Rainbow Dash on your feet?!?! YESSSS~~

[10] - Bow and Arrow

Day 10

His-

His Response:  She seems to be getting me stuff that I don't have in my wardrobe or that she just wants to see me wear lol. But I like the bow tie. It's nice and simple and I can't wait to pair it with a tux and do my best James Bond impersonation

Her Reasoning: I really like bowties on guys & I thought he would look cute in one - so I chose a simple black bowtie from The Tie Bar that he could wear with anything! I tried to make the bow on the wrapping myself - which turned out 'alright' I guess and the tux - well it was just to give him a hint of what was inside.

Hers-

Her Response: He told me the wrapping was suppose to be something. I was thinking more towards a treasure chest or toy box. And then I took a wild guess - Tool Box. I opened it up and it was my very own pocket knife/tool! I've honestly always wanted one. For what reason? I'm not sure BUT I did. & it's pink!

His Reasoning: We were shopping in the mall one day and on our way she stopped for a second and went "oooh it's pinkkkkk" and that she actually needed a pocket knife too. I went back the next day to get it for her and tried to wrap it in a toolbox (epic fail).
