[DIY] PARIS REVERSED

disclaimer - I do not own this design. T-shirt DIY is a inspired look.

I was walking through Zara a year a go and I found this shirt in the men's section and for some weird reason I really liked it, but I didn't like the price. "Limited edition, let's do some simple addition
Fifty dollars for a T-shirt - that's just some ignorant b*tch (sh*t)" - ThriftShop Macklemore
So you get what I'm saying.

"Savin' my money and I'm hella happy that's a bargain, b*tch" - ThriftShop Macklemore
So let's get started!

THINGS YOU NEED

Clean -T-shirt (preferable not as wrinkly as the one I used)
Fabric paint - Jacquard Textiles #122 Black [Blick]
Fine flat precision brush - Blick Scholastic Wonder White Bright #12 [Blick]
Spongey brush - Blick or any hardware store in the paint section
Tape - Preferably masking tape
Your printed out Stencils - DIY
Magazine or something flat to use as a surface for cutting out the stencil as well as painting. I used a portfolio cover.

Directions

  1. Make sure your T-shirt is clean (pre-washed). It'll make the paint sink in better.
  2. Measure the dimensions of the T-shirt so you know how big to print out your stencils.
  3. Print out the stencils on Microsoft Word. Microsoft Word is simple to use to resize the letters and picture
  4. Lay the stencils on the shirt to see if the size is what you like and then start cutting
  5. I used an exacto knife to neatly cut out the stencils
  6. I also used scissor to cut off any loose pieces of paper hanging.
  7. Lay the stencil  on the T-shirt and tape it down.
  8. Start painting - dab using the spongy brush in larger areas and use the finer flat brush to neatly paint the edges. Make sure you have something flat on the inside of the shirt so the paint won't leak through the other side of the shirt. I just used a portfolio cover that I used when cutting out my stencil.
  9. Wait for it to completely dry
  10. Turn the shirt inside and out and iron
  11. Wash normally
I didn't realized some of the paint leaked through a crack in my portfolio cover so I just drew a macaron because who doesn't love macarons?
