Banana Republic

Victoria Secret
  • Return to store allowed!
Forever21
  • Forever21 sizes don't seem to be very consistent sometimes so I rarely buy online but when I do, I just make sure I follow my "online tips [link here]"
  • Return policy is crap [ in store as well]
    • So you better LOVE what your'e buying unless you don't mind store credit or exchange.
    • You can return by mail for a refund but you have to pay for shipping it back to them
Shein

  • Great for clothing you wear once or couple times
    • the price is decent but don't expect the best quality
    • Quality is a hit or COMPLETE miss
  • Shipping is sometimes super slow
  • Sizing is WAYYY off
    • make sure you read reviews before purchasing!
  • I do have a few pieces from here that I got a lot of compliments for but other pieces I just used for fabric because returning would cost more than the item I paid for.
  • Return policy sucks
    • They make you pay for shipping it back which in most cases it's half of what you spent
  • I list it here because I can't say that it is terribly awful or really good, it's kind of in between - so I still recommend it for certain pieces or just one or two time wear pieces.
Ali-express

  • Again, this is a hit or miss but I am going to link some shops that I've also shopped at that provide decent quality items for the prices.
  • Swimwear
Designer Websites:
  • Here's my two cents (and something a manager at a high end designer brand store told me) - never buy a designer bag online. You never really know until you get it if the bag has been damaged or used.
    • One experience: I bought a designer bag online and when I received it, to me it looked fine. But I didn't like the size and brought it to the store to return because the return policy allowed it. When I got to the store, the manager wouldn't take it and looked at me as if I had two heads. She told me the bag was used and she cannot except it. I literally got the bag in the mail the day before and she was giving me a hard time.  She [the manager herself] told me never to use the website and to physically see the bag before buying. Makes sense. I guess I trusted the website since it's such a high end brand that they WOULD send me a brand new bag - but apparently, it wasn't "sellable" to the professional.  I called customer service and they told me that the store should have taken the bag regardless if I wasn't satisfied with it but obviously in my case, the manager wouldn't take it.
